Curtis Mason

Curtis A. Mason, 65, of Catawba County, died Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Sherrills Ford Hospice House. Born March 15, 1959, he was the son of Walter Mason and the late Fay Gwendola Mason.

Dad was a long-distance truck driver all of his life and was truly a rambling man. The road was his home. He was an avid outdoorsman. His hobbies included fishing, riding motorcycles, and hunting for Bigfoot. He loved the beach and mountains and was passionate about animals and guns.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Fay Gwendola Mason, and his favorite dog, Bella.

Curtis is survived by his father, Walter Mason, loving daughters, Melissa Aldrich, and her husband Jake, as well as Sara Mason and her husband Shane. He is also survived by his step children, Jennifer McLelland and husband, Tim, and Corey Arehart and his wife, Lisa. Siblings, Clark Mason and his wife Carol, Darrell Mason and his wife Ramona, Linda Phillips and her husband Jerry, Pamela Hurley and her husband Steve, and Sandra Mason. Curtis is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Curtis will be dearly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.

The family will receive friends from 1-2PM, September 12, 2024 at Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center.
Celebration of Life will begin at 2Pm in Jenkins Funeral Home, Chapel.
