Cindy, or sometimes affectionately called “Cindy Lu”, was surrounded by her three children Tia, Kelli, and Israel as she transitioned to be with her Savior on May 4th, 2022.
Cindy was born on June 28th, 1954 to David and Wilma Chapman of Taylorsville, NC. She adored her parents and her 6 siblings and was incredibly proud to be a part of the Chapman family.
Cindy was “mom” to so many children. She managed two restaurants in Taylorsville where she employed and loved so many students and community members. Later in life, she also managed Lowes Hardware in Hickory for several years until her retirement.
Cindy was such an amazing friend and mother. She put thought and loving detail into everything she did for others. Her love language was gift giving and card writing. Christmas decorations and celebrations gave her joy. She loved creating sentimental gifts or notes and cards of encouragement and love for her children, grandchildren, and friends. She loved flowers, birds and nature. She was an avid reader of historical fiction and enjoyed visiting the library or picking up vintage books at antique stores.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Pat, her infant twin grandsons Ryan and Dillon Glisan, and infant grandchild Baby Barnes.
Those left to cherish the memories of Cindy include her husband, Tommy Eurey, her mother-in-law, Patsy Eurey, her daughters Tia Barnes and Kelli Glisan, a son, Israel Fox, son-in law Tim Glisan and Kevin Barnes, the father of her children Allen Fox, four sisters, Sina Brown, Betty Petree, Sue Mayes, and JoEtta Galliher, one brother, Bill Chapman, three grandchildren, Analese, Elijah, and Elena and one great grandchild, Boone.
A celebration of life will be held at Westside Baptist Church at 408 W Carpenter St, Maiden, NC 28650 on Saturday May 7th at 4pm. Pastor Bud Painter will be officiating.
