Cynthia Shaw

Cynthia Ann Shaw 85 of Hickory died Thursday, December 17th, 2015 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born October 6th, 1930 she was the daughter of the late Frederick Christian Mundy and Anntoinette Kizukiewicz Mundy. She accomplished everything in life she wanted to do. She was a wonderful mother. She had a love of movie and theater earning her many awards for acting, directing and costume design. She served on the board of directors for the Pineapple Playhouse and the Barn Theater in Ft. Pierce and Stuart, FL. She was a CNA and a massage therapist. She was an accomplished seamstress and a business owner of a fabric shop and exercise studios. A daughter, Nancy Barber Vickers and husband Russ of Hickory survive her. A daughter, Cynthia Ann Barber Lankas and a brother, Watson Lawrence "Bud" Barber, lll, preceded her in death.
