Daniel Farris

March 10, 1947 — October 27, 2013

Daniel "Danny" Arlie Farris 66 of Conover died Sunday October 27th, 2013 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born March 10th, 1947 he was the son of Arlie Stallings and Bertha Kathleen Bridges. He was an avid fisherman and baseball lover. He was an auction dealer for over 12 years. He was a supervisor for Bassett for over 17 years and worked for Russell Woodcarving for many years. His wife of 27 years, Phyllis Adams Farris of the home; two daughters, Kimberly Wright and husband Tim of Taylorsville and Crystal Wiggins and husband Tony of Hickory; a son Jimmy Farris of Taylorsville; two sisters, Rena Shepperd of Lincolnton and Mary Ruth Williams and husband Junior of Fallston; a brother, Arnold Bridges of Lincolnton; nine grandchildren, Ashley, Jessica, Chris, Michael, Justin, Josh, Benjamin, Jasmine, Isaiah and five great grandchildren, Chetney, Mason, Cason, Kayda and Faith survive him. In addition to his parents, a brother, Robert Bridges and a daughter, Jodi Honeycutt preceded him in death. The funeral will be 2:00 pm Wednesday October 30th, 2013 at Victory Baptist Church in Hildebran with Pastor David Robinson and Pastor Jamie Simerly officiating. Burial will follow at Victory Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Tim Wright, Tony Wiggins, Justin Honeycutt, Chris Stines, Michael Wright, Josh Farris and Gary Ledford. The family will receive friends from 12:45-2:00 pm Wednesday October 30th, 2013 at the church. Memorials may be made to Catawba Regional Hospice 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
