Daniel Ussery

Daniel Ussery, 69, of Hickory passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 at his home. He was born February 20th, 1953 and he was the son of the late Robert and Daisy Mae Ussery.

He is survived by two sons; Mark Shade of Hickory, and David Jones, of Arizona; as well as four brothers; Charlie Ussery of Shelby, North Carolina; Gene Ussery of Hickory, North Carolina, Johnny Ussery (Mabel) of Montgomery, Alabama; David Ussery of Hickory, North Carolina; and three sisters Rosie Parker of Hickory, North Carolina, Mollie (Kenneth) Danner of Conover, North Carolina; Janice Allen of Shelby, North Carolina. He is also survived by six grandchildren and one great-grand child and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

A service is being planned for Friday, August 19th at 2 PM at Morning Star First Baptist Church in Hickory, officiated by Pastor Roberts.

Life Is But a Stopping Place

Life is but a stopping place
A pause in what's to be
A resting place along the road
To sweet eternity

We all have different journeys
Different paths along the way
We all were meant to learn some things
