Darlene Wood Fletcher, 65 of Rainey Lane died Wednesday January 17, 2007 at her residence. Born July 9, 1941 in Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Lee Ander and Virginia Gurtrude Williams Wood. She was a devoted mother and caregiver and worked for Moretz Mills for many years. Her husband, Dennis Glenn Fletcher, preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca Lynn Parker and husband David of Maiden and Virginia Hallman Burns and husband Richard of Vale; two sons, Charles Evan Reep, Jr. and wife Marie of Lincolnton and LeWarren Earl Bryan and wife Kim of St. Petersburg, Florida; a sister Linda Wood Reitzel and husband Tony of Conover, her fiancé, Tony Moore of Maiden, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. A Celebration of Darleneâ??s life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday January 20, 2007 at Gateway Baptist Church. Officiating will be Revs. Jerome Walker and Mike McKinney. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be David Parker, Richard Burns, Tony A. Reitzel, Joe Reitzel, Tony L. Reitzel and Mark Reitzel.
