David Huffman

David, “Dave” William Huffman, 70 of Conover died Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Catawba Regional Hospice in Newton. Born September 18, 1946, David attended St. Stephens High School and was a retired contractor and master craftsman, specializing in building fine custom homes and fine wood working. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 46 years, Bonita “Bonnie” Goodson Huffman; a daughter, Brandy Nicole Huffman of Conover; three sons, Tony Huffman & wife Sheila of Newton: Chris Huffman & wife Kim of Newton and Todd Huffman & wife Lauren of Hickory; a step-son, Robert Carpenter & wife Linda of Taylorsville; three grand-children, Justin Huffman & wife Tiffany, Taylor Huffman and Addie Huffman; two great grand-children, Sebastian Huffman and Zachary Hall; and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. In addition, Dave is survived by two sisters, Patricia Gail Hewitt of Hickory and Deborah Leigh Huffman of Conover; a brother Doug Huffman & wife Eiko of Columbia, SC and their daughter Angela Huffman Edwards & her husband, Shawn and daughter Naomi of Leesburg, VA. His parents, Bruce and Audrey Huffman; an infant son, Scott Huffman preceded him in death. A Gathering of Friends and family to celebrate Dave's life will be 6:00 pm Friday October 14th, 2016 at The Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home in Newton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests the Memorials and Tributes be made to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
