David Joseph McCurry "Joey", 56, of Lincolnton went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 14th, 2023. Born, July 16th, 1967 he was the son of the late Reverend Eddie Joe McCurry and Joan Leslie McCurry.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Cathy McCurry of the home; a step-daughter, Chasdity Kimbel (Chris) of Gastonia; three grandchildren, Hunter Kimbel, Alyssa Kimbel, and Chloe Kimbel; and three aunts, Betty Schronce, Lois Eden, and Vickie Schrum.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two uncles, Jimmy McCurry and Kenneth McCurry.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
