David Setzer

David Lee Setzer, 65, of Claremont, passed away, Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Carolina Caring following a period of declining health is now reunited with his late son Ryan in Heaven. Born December 12th, 1955 he was the son of the late Bobby Gene Setzer and Faye Greene Setzer.  David was the owner and operator of Conover Automotive for more than forty years.

In addition to his wife Marilyn, he is survived by his daughter, Summer and husband Josh Jones; three grandchildren, Kylie, Rylee, and Kynleigh;  sisters, Sue and husband Jim Tinney, and Jean Worrill; brother Allen Setzer; sister-in-law Donna Setzer; as well as an abundance of loving nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

In addition to his mother and father, David is preceded in death by his son, Stephen Ryan Setzer; brothers, Bobby Setzer and Larry Setzer; and nephew Shea Setzer.

The funeral will be on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Jenkins Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Ritchie officiating. Burial will directly follow the service at Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Jenkins Funeral Home.
