David Smith

David Wayne Smith, 64, of Lincolnton went home to be the Lord on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Catawba Valley Medical Center surrounded by family. Born August 26th, 1958, he was the son of the late John and Margaret Smith.

David was a God-fearing man, who is now whole again and free from the suffering and weight of this world.

He is survived by his children Chantae Smith, David Smith, and Christy Andrade, his son-in-law Jose Andrade, his grandchildren Carmen, Julian, Luis Angel, and Dulce Andrade, and his brother Timothy Smith. He is also survived by his in-laws Wesley and Roseann Brewington, Guadalupe Andrade, and Leticia Avila, his nephews and nieces Matthew, Samantha, and Amanda Brewington, and Jonathan (Shannon), Waylon, and Amanda Smith, his aunt Betty Thompson, and his godchildren Timothy and Crystal Melton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years Angela Wright Smith and his brothers Ronald and Bobby Smith, his niece Heather Bonacasa, his godbrother Greg Stamey, and his uncles Paul and Charlie Sigmon.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Monday, June 19th, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home.

The funeral will be 2:00 PM Monday, June 19th, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow at Jenkins Funeral Home Cemetery.
