David Von Jares

David Von Jares 96 of Newton died Saturday May 4th, 2013 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born June 23rd, 1916 he was the son of the late John and Josephine Ratajczak Von Jares. Dave was devoted to God's Word and he loved Jesus.
A US Marine Corps veteran he was an aerospace engineer working with Martin Marietta, Barth, Pesco Honeywell, Kearfott Aerospace and Lockhead Corporations and with NASA. While living in Deltona, Florida, he was a volunteer fireman.
His wife, Mildred Ann Smolinski Von Jares of the home; a daughter Andrea Von Jares of Newton; two sons, David Von Jares, ll of Newton and Eric Von Jares and wife Marie of Friendswood, TX and two grandchildren, Kyle Von Jares and Kris Von Jares of Colorado survive him.
The funeral will gather Monday May 6, 2013 for a private family viewing at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
