Deborah Barber

Deborah Sue Barber 62 of Catawba died Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born March 19th, 1957 she was the daughter of Jimmie Mae Segee of Murfreesboro, TN and the late Ernie Gene Whittaker.  She was a lover of animals, enjoyed gardening and loved to laugh. She  was passionate about life and loved her children and grandchildren.

Her husband of 40 years, Ivey Barber of the home; her mother Jimmie Mae Segee of Murfreesboro, TN; her step mother, Frances Whittaker of Mount Juliet, TN; two sons, Jonathan Case Barber and wife, Eleanor of Limerick, Ireland and Jeffrey Clayton Barber and wife Joy of Taylorsville ; a daughter, Ashley Marie Delozier and husband Micah of Rockvale, TN; three sisters, Beverly Stevens of Murfreesboro, TN, Rochele McElhiney and husband Michael and Rhonda Whittaker of Asheville, NC; a brother, Robert Whittaker and wife Cynthia of Catawba, NC and three grandchildren, Penelope Barber, Guy Delozier, Levi Marie Delozier survive her.

The funeral will be 3:30 pm Monday June 3, 2019 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor JoAnn Glaser officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:30-3:30 pm Monday at the Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center.

Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
