Deborah Heavner

Deborah G. Heavner, 70, of Morganton passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024 at UNC Health Blue Ridge. Born Friday, August 28th, 1953. She loved applesauce, listening to TV, had a beautiful laugh and enjoyed the company of her roommates.

She is survived by her stepfather, Charlie Whitener of Hickory, who took care of her and loved her dearly and would visit her daily after the passing of her mother, Margaret Ann Willis.

A special thank you to the staff of J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center, Deborah was well loved and taken care of there for the past 25 years.

A Graveside Service will be held 11am, Friday, August 23, 2024, at Catawba Memorial Park, 3010 US-70, Newton, NC 28658, Pastor Jerome Walker will be officiating the service .
