Deborah Jewell Teague passed away suddenly at her home on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019 at the age of 59. She was born on June 8th, 1960 in Mingo County, West Virginia the daughter of Millard and Bertha Adams Jewell, both deceased. She leaves behind husband Billy Ray Teague of 30 years and her miracle son Nathan J. Teague. She had two brothers, Lee Jewell (deceased) and Mid Jewell of West Virginia; and two sisters, Millie Garnes (deceased) and Barb Chaffin of North Carolina. She leaves behind 8 nephews and 4 nieces, along with many cousins and great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Debbie graduated Williamson High School in West Virginia and Southern West Virginia Community College before graduating Marshall University with a bachelor’s in nursing. She worked for 30 years as an intensive care and emergency room nurse in many hospitals including over 20 years with Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville, North Carolina.
Debbie loved her Lord and Savior more than anything. She also enjoyed her classic Coca-Colas, spending time with her many family members and LifePoint Church friends. She also attended Bible study fellowship on Wednesday mornings at Highland Baptist Church. She enjoyed collecting angels and many different Bibles.
A Memorial service will be held Sunday, July 7th at LifePoint Church of Hickory. A gathering of friends will begin at 2:30 pm with the funeral following at 3:30 pm at the church.
Flower arrangements or angels in her memory may be sent to LifePoint Church of Hickory or Jenkins Funeral Home. Donations in her memory may be sent to Samaritans Purse to further overseas missions and medical care.
