Dennis Porter

Dennis Leo Porter of Hickory died September 5th, 2013 at is home in Hickory, NC. Born June 27th, 1943, he was the son of the late Virgil Franklin Porter and Helen Elizabeth Porter. He loved the simple things in life. He enjoyed boating and the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with his family. A daughter, Kristen Porter of Taylorsville; two sons, Bryan Porter of Newton, and Brent Porter and wife Carmen of Fort Mill; six grandchildren, Kynan Jackson, Madison Porter, and Lydia Porter of Fort Mill, Gabriel Porter of Newton, Lyric Porter, and Riddle Porter of Hickory survive him. In addition to his wife, Rebecca and parents, a sister, Sonya Porter preceded him in death. A Memorial Service will be 6:00 pm Tuesday September 10th, 2013 at Gateway Baptist Church with Pastor Jerome Walker officiating.
