Devin Nelson Shade 31 of Hickory died Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born February 10th, 1988 he was the son of the late Barry Nelson Shade and Mary Francis Summers Shade.
Those left to cherish his memory include children Kendall Reece Shade and Kayleigh Michelle Shade; a sister Sonya Pressley and brother Chad Summers of Hickory, NC; aunt Maggie and her husband Malcolm of Glen Alpine, NC; two uncles Clifton Summers Jr. of Glen Alpine and Chester Summers and wife Amber of Hickory NC; Special Friends, Christopher Spake and Page Spake and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.
His parents, Barry Nelson Shade and Mary Francis Shade preceded him in death
A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 am Saturday October 5, 2019 at Bridge42 Church, 107 Calvin Heights, Morganton NC 28655 with Jason Koon and Pastor Jason Roehrig officiating.
Jenkins Funeral Home staff is not involved in the celebration of life at the church.
