Diane (Huffman) Seitz age 64, of 3634 River Road in Hickory passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Catawba Regional Hospice in Newton. Born March 25, 1948, Diane was the daughter of Wilma Mae Hall Huffman and the late Clyde Huffman. She was a native of Hickory who enjoyed traveling and spending time with her husband, local pottery and history. She devoted her life to her students and family. Diane was employed with Burke County as an Educator for over thirty years and was active with United Methodist Women and Blackburn Community Pottery Festival. Survivors include Her Husband Billy Carl Seitz of 40 years, mother Wilma Mae Hall Huffman, two brothers Oren David Huffman and wife Dorothy of Hildebran, Orville Dennis Huffman and wife Brenda of North Wilkesboro, Sister-in-Law Rachel Brendle and Husband Billy of Hickory, nieces; Meredith Scott and Husband Troy of Newton, Amy and Clay Roberts of Granite Falls, nephews; Michael and Kathy Fox of Taylorsville, Jeffrey Fox of Newton, and numerous great nephews and nieces. The Funeral service will be held Thursday November 1, 2012 at 4:00 at Wesley Chapel UMC. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pastor Bobby Petree will be officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 2:30-3:45 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
