Donald Mcferrin

Donald Walker McFerrin 66 of Hickory died Tuesday, October 17th, 2017 at Winston Salem Nursing and Rehab. Born June 1st, 1951 he was the son of the late Charles McFerrin and Rachel Lawson McFerrin.   Donald was a graduate of Newton Conover High School in 1969, as well as a graduate of Pfeiffer College. Three sisters Nancy Towne and husband David of Williamstown, Ma, Rebecca Vechik and husband Clement of Hickory, NC, Rachel Shilitto and husband Lee of Bristol, TN; four brothers Pat McFerrin and wife Chrys of Farmington, Ma, Dan McFerrin and wife Mo of Hawaii, Mike and wife Trudy McFerrin of Hayesville, NC, and George McFerrin and wife Sharon of Brockton,MA survive him.   The funeral will be 3:00pm Saturday, October 21st, 2017 at Jenkins Funeral Home with Pastor  Mark D. Osborne officiating. Burial will follow at Jenkins Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm-3:00 pm Saturday, October 21st, 2017 at Jenkins Funeral Home .   In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to New Vision Presbyterian Church.
