Donald Powell

Donald Lee Powell, 64 of Sulphur Springs Road, Hickory died Monday, June 13, 2011 at Palliative Care Center and Hospice of Catawba Valley. Born April 26, 1947, he was the son of James Warren Powell and Frances Emily Taylor. A daughter, Shannon K. Larson of Crawfordville, FL, three sisters, Jackie Daquila, of Brandson, Miss, Debbie Myers of Bolton, MS, Denise Grefe of Fairborn, OH, one brother, James T. Powell of Northport, AL, and one grandson, Phillip Larson survive him. Mr. Powell was preceded in death by his father, James Warren Powell and his mother Frances Emily Powell. A funeral service will be held at Milling Funeral Home in Union, Mississippi on Saturday, June 18, 2011. Visitation will be held 9:00 am to 11:00 am with the service following.
