Donna Rufty Jarrett 68 of Vale died Monday, April 15th, 2019 at Carolina Caring. Born December 3rd, 1950 in West Palm Beach, FL, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Rufty and Mary Pauline Rufty.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Hugene Rufty and brother-in-law Allan Lynch.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Darrell Jarrett of the home; a daughter, Donna Denise (Dee Dee) Johnson of Vale; two sisters, Deborah Brown (Bob) of Catawba and Barbara Lynch of Catawba; a brother, JT (Jimmy) Rufty of Catawba and two grandchildren, Tayler and Cole; a niece Dawn Brown Mclaughlin (Stephen) whom she loved like her own; a nephew Terry Brown; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Becky Ward, her best friend who was like a sister to her.
Donna loved caring for people, gardening, and her passion was fishing. She was a long time active member of Sardis Lutheran Church and loved her church family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm Thursday April 18, 2019 at Sardis Lutheran Church with Pastor Adrienne Martin officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the ceremony at the church.
