Donna Woodring

Donna Jane Woodring, 75, of Newton died Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born October 11th, 1948 she was the daughter of the late William Shellum Abernathy Sr. and Rena Delacy Phifer. She was an active member at Abernathy Memorial Methodist Church and she loved the Clemson Tigers.

Her daughter, Ashley Petree and husband, Andrew; her brother, William Shellum Abernathy Jr. and his wife, Ann; her great-aunt, Elsie Primm; her three nieces, Kristy Sullivan and her husband, Tim; Donna Knight and her husband, Jerry and Amanda Murphy; her five, great-nieces, Ava Sullivan, Ella Sullivan, Joscelyn Knight, Teagan Murphy and Carson Murphy and one great-nephew, Jalen Knight survive her.

Her parents preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Abernethy Memorial Methodist Church with Rev. Thomas Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at the church.
