Doris Eckard

Doris Marie Eckard, 71, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Abernathy Laurels in Newton. Born May 31st, 1952 she was the daughter of late Cloyd R. Eckard and late Mattie Lail. Doris loved watching the Animal Planet channel and loved her time working with Life Skills.

Doris is survived by her brothers Carl R. Eckard of J. Iverson Developmental center; brother, Eddie L. Eckard and wife Janice of Hickory; sister, Joyce Lethcoe and husband John of Hudson; nephews, Stacey Eckard and Jay Hatley; and nieces, Jennifer Eckard and Melissa Hatley.

Her parents and brother Danny R. Eckard preceded her in death.

In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to Maiden Group Home and Life Skills of Catawba county.
