Doris Sigmon

Doris Setzer Hager Sigmon, 88 formerly of Newton passed away unexpectedly at Catawba Valley Living at Rock Barn on October 25, 2015. Born June 14, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Ross Setzer and Hazel Poovey Setzer. Doris was retired from Hickory Springs Manufacturing. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her first husband, Johnny Hager; her second husband, Arthur Sigmon; a brother, Bobby Ross Setzer; two sisters, Jo Ann Setzer and Louise Bebber McKericher; and a grand son, Shawn Hager. Left to cherish her memory are sons Richard Hager an wife Janis of Hickory and Robert "Pete" Hager and wife Treva of Conover; grand-children, Scott Hager, Kevin Hager and Christy Byrd; Great grand-children, Lucretia Wallace and husband Kane, Marcel Byrd and Kennedy Hill; and Great, Great grand-children, Daxx and Isis Wallace. The funeral will be 11:00 am Friday, October 30th, 2015 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Seaman officiating. Burial will follow at Conover Cemetery.
