Dorothea Cubberly

Dorothea Bishop Noonan Cubberly, 88 of 25th Avenue, Hickory died Monday, October 8, 2012 at Catawba Regional Hospice, Sherrills Ford. Born February 1, 1924 in Houston, Texas she was the daughter of the late Hiram David Noonan and Rose Boddie Bishop Noonan. Dorothea attended Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. In addition to her parents; her husband Walter E. Cubberly, Jr.; a son, Walter E. Cubberly III preceded her in death. Six daughters, Mary Martha Cubberly, Catherine Cubberly Miller and husband Doug, Candace Aileen Womack and husband Richard, Dorothea Robin Cubberly, Phoebe Cubberly Ortiz and husband Higinio, Elizabeth Cubberly Tracy and husband Charles; a son, John Hiram David Cubberly and daughter in law, Rebecca Dawson Cubberly; 18 grand-children and six great grand-children survive her.
