Dorothy Mae ?Dot? Hildebrand Klutz, 75 of Newton died Friday, April 04, 2014 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born August 21, 1938 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Roy Robert Hildebrand and Claudia Blanche Kanipe Hildebrand. Dorothy deeply loved her family. She enjoyed reading, craft works and cooking. A daughter, Kathy Lynn Platt of Newton; three sons, Charles Ray Klutz, Jr. of Newton and daughter in law, Carol Sigmon of Claremont, Jerry Wayne Klutz and wife Judy of Conover and Alan Eugene Klutz of Newton; two brothers, Jerry Leroy Hildebrand and David Wayne Hildebrand; 10 grand-children, Jesse, Melonie, Sarah, Jackie, Nicole, Joseph, Addison, Claudia, Austin and Chris; and three great grand-children, Maximus, Mason and Robin survive her. In addition to her husband of 55 years, Charles Ray Klutz, Sr. and daughter in law, Julie Klutz preceded her in death. The funeral will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 6, 2014 at North Newton Baptist Church with Pastor Tom Early officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
