Dorothy Marie Adams Land Moore, 86 of Taylorsville went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, March 27, 2014. She was born October 17, 1927 in Alexander County to the late Preston Adams and Jettie Sharpe Adams. An avid golfer at the age of 42, she was a record breaker by having seven hole in one's. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to laugh, had a great sense of humor and will be missed by many. Loved ones left to cherish her memory include two sons, Alan Land and wife Naomi of Stony Point, NC and David Land of Hickory; two daughters, Brenda Stikeleather of troy, NC and Gena Carver and husband John Bethlehem, NC; three step-children, Jimmy Moore and wife Judy, Rick Moore and Michael Moore, all of Mooresville; three grand-children, Ronnie Meadows and wife Angie, Kevin "Red" Meadows and Renee Daniels and son Jonathan of Taylorsville, and Michael Land an wife Lizet of Boston, MA; four great grand-children, Sandra Mendoza, Brittany Meadows, Steel Land and Chase Land; five step grand-children, Karen Kerley and husband Todd, Wendy King and husband Brent, Tommy Moore an wife Kim, Tabitha Moore, Sabrina Moore and Michael Moore; six step great grand-children, Hunter Kerley, Natalie Kerley, Olivia King, Chloe King, Justin Moore and Tyler Moore and one great, great grandson, Hunter Moore survive her. She was preceded in death by her husband Eli Land and husband, Odis Moore; three brothers and four sisters. A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Three Forks Baptist Church in Taylorsville. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. The Rev. Chris Huffman and Rev. Carson Moseley will officiate. Memorials may be made to The Alzheimer's Association 3701 Pender Drive, Suite 400 Fairfax, VA 22030.
