Dorothy Rivenburgh

Dorothy Jean Burgess Rivenburgh, 89 of 2nd Street SE, Conover died Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born May 19, 1923 she was the daughter of the late William Cornelius Burgess and Clara Julia VanLiew Burgess. Dorothy was a member of Plateau United Methodist Church. She was a Hospice volunteer for over 20 years. Two daughters, Laurie Ann Snoke & husband Allen of Centralia, WA and Pamela Jean Lockwood & husband Butch of Raddiff, KY; two sons, Charles William Rivenburgh & wife Alice of West Palm Beach, FL and Jay Michael Rivenburgh & wife Shari of Springfield, MO; and 12 grand-children survive her. In addition to her husband; four sisters, Claire Salisbury, Norma McCarthy, Ruth Quido and Neva Arlene Stevens; and a brother, William Cornelius Burgess Jr. preceded her in death. A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Plateau United Methodist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
