Douglas Bates 73 of Hildebran died Monday, March 20th, 2017 at Carolina Rehab Center of Burke. Born October 12th, 1943 he was the son of the late Juanita Brown. Two daughters, Shelly Bates of Hickory and Renee Cole and husband Brett of Hickory; two grandsons, Dylan and Tyler Cole; numerous aunts and cousins survive him. No services are planned at this time.
