Drou Vue

Drou Vue, 95 of Hickory died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born on April 5, 1917 in Phuam Hais, Laos, she was the daughter of the late Blia Tong Vue and Ntsum Vang. Drou enjoyed farming, gardening and sewing. In addition to her parents, she lost her husband, Song Yee Lor in 1972; two sisters and one brother preceded her in death. Two daughters: Mai Lor of Alaska and Der Lor of Thailand; four sons, Me Lor (Xia tou) of Hickory, Chue Lor of Charlotte, Kue Lor of Charlotte and Ge Lor of Hickory; and 37 grand-children survive her. The Hmong funeral will begin on Friday, March 22, 2013 and conclude on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Jenkins Funeral Home & Pavilion. Burial will follow on Sunday at Burke Memorial Park.
