Dwight Frye

Dwight Verlin Frye, 76, of Vale passed away Sunday, April 28th, 2024 in his home. Born, December 9th, 1947 he was the son of the late Verlin Urie Frye and Charlsie Etta Frye. He loved spending his time hunting, but mostly he enjoyed being with his family. He will always be remembered as being a wonderful husband and a loving father.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Phyllis Frye of the home; his son, Sean Frye (Stephanie); a brother, Eric Frye (Sharon); and a special four legged grandson, Cloud Frye.

In addition to his parents, Verlin Urie Frye and Charlsie Etta Frye he is preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia Frye Carswell.

The family will receive friends 1-2PM Friday May 3, 2024 at Mays Chapel Methodist Church located at 1707 Mays Chapel Church Rd, Maiden, NC 28650. The Celebration of Life will follow the visitation at 2PM with Reverend Dr. Jason Guyer officiating the service. Military honors and burial will be after the service at Mays Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.
