Dwight Teems, 76, of Granite Falls died Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Amorem Patient Care Center. Born March 25th, 1946 he was the son of the late Edward and Geneva Teems.
Dwight was retired from Martin-Marietta where he was employed as a supervisor for over 40 years of service. Dwight loved to read and could finish a book a day but his favorite book to read was his King James Version Bible. He knew his Bible well and was a wonderful servant of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was an ordained Deacon. He could answer any biblical question you had and he could show you in the bible the answer he gave you.
Dwight or “Pawsie” as he was called after his grandchildren came along also served in the US Air Force and served our country during the Vietnam War. He served his country and won several medals during his service. He was a proud Veteran of the United States of America!
He is survived by his wife, Dottie Teems; son, Sam Baston (Joan); daughter, Shannon Curley; two sisters, Gladys Jonas and Hilda Hart; three grandchildren, Erica Baston-Strickland, Tyler Curley and Kenzie Curley and a great-granddaughter, Lucy Marie Baston-Strickland.
In addition to his parents, two brothers, Billy Ray Teems and Hubert Teems and a sister, Margie Teems preceded him in death.
