Earl Avery

Earl Pinkney Avery, 92 of Lincolnton died Thursday, January 14th, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Charlotte. Born October 25th, 1923 he was the son of the late Lander Avery and Minnie Huss Avery. Earl was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was considered the "perfect Daddy." During his working years Earl worked in construction in the Lincolnton area. He took care of people all his life. Two daughters, Judy Kay Pruett and husband Thearn of Lincolnton and Linda "Earline" Fox and husband Bruce of Lincolnton; three grand-children, Troy Allen Motz, Brent Lee Mots and wife Kelly and Jamie Fox; three great grand-children; former son in law, Bobby Motz and dog Daisy survive him. In addition to his parents, his wife, Ruth Martin Avery and a daughter, Kandy Lee Avery preceded him in death.
