Edith Reitzel

Edith Watts Reitzel, 90 of Newton passed away, Wednesday, July 23rd, 2014 at Brian Center East. Born January 9th, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Watts and Bernice Watts. A daughter, Rita Bolick and husband Caleb of Maiden; a son, Robert Newell Reitzel, Jr. and wife Melanie of Newton; a grand-daughter, Erica Isenhour & husband Matt of Newton, Crystal Steele & husband Jeff of Maiden, Jonathan Bolick and wife Lisa of Lincolnton, Wesley Bolick and wife Leia of Huntersville, two step grand children Austin Lucas and wife Breanna of Murphy, NC, and Jonathan Lucas and wife Megan of Whittier, NC; seven great grand-children and one step great grand-child survive her. In addition to her parents, Clyde and Bernice Watts, her husband Robert (Red) Reitzel; three brothers Thurmond Watts, C.R. Watts Jr., and William (Billy) Watts preceded her in death. The funeral will be 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. C.B. Barr officiating.
