Edith "Bob" Eileen Sigmon, 92 of Claremont died Saturday, January 10th, 2015 at her residence. Born December 19th, 1922, she was the daughter of the late William Helms and Weasey Glazebrooks Helms. Two sons, William Sigmon and wife Brenda of Claremont, Rick Sigmon and wife Pam of Catawba; four sisters, Doris Self of Hickory, Edith Brown of Charleston, SC, Phyllis Bost and husband George of Hickory and Bobbie Joe Baker of Hickory; a brother William Helms Jr. and wife Sandy of Hickory; six grandchildren, Brian Sigmon, Cody Sigmon, Jamie S. Reich, Kelly Sigmon, Scott Sigmon, Barry Bumgarner; and three great-grandchildren, Cassie Sigmon, Alyssa Reich, and Brianna Bumgarner survive her. In addition to her husband, Willis Glenn Sigmon and her parents; a sister, Ealmer McAlister and a brother, Guy Helms preceded her in death. The funeral will be 2:00pm Tuesday, January 13th, 2015 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Claremont with the Reverend Dr. Gary S. Haddock and Rev. Paul Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Claremont Cemetery. The body will be available for viewing from 12-2:00pm Tuesday, January 13th, 2015 at St. Marks Lutheran Church 3216 West Main Street Claremont, NC 28610.
