Edith Smith

Edith Ray Smith, 85 of Lincolnton died Thursday, July 3rd, 2014 at CMC Lincolnton. Born June 2nd, 1929 she was the daughter of the late of Benjamin Waters and Daisy Brackett Waters. She was a homemaker and a music lover. A son, Bobby R. Smith and wife Kay of Vale; three daughters, Geneva S. Moore and husband Thomas of Newton, Linda Smith of Vale, Nancy Smith of Vale; 12 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren survive her. Her husband of 52 years, Charlie Madison Smith; two sons, Charlie Junior Smith and Ronnie Dean Smith; a grandson, Bobby Lee Smith preceded her in death. The funeral will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 8th, 2014 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Sigmon. Burial will follow at Hollybrook Cemetery in Lincolnton.
