Eleanor Mabel Reed Gerlaugh, 46 of Morganton died November 6, 2005 at her residence. Born in Burke County May 15, 1959 she was the daughter of the late Neil Edward Reed and of Emma T. Wertman of Bridgeport, CT. A private ceremony is planned. Surviving in addition to her mother are two daughters, Marlena Fiedler and son in law, Robert Aleman of Pinellas Park, FL, Brandy Gerlaugh Delacruz and husband German Delacruz Mendoza of Clearwater, FL, a son, D.J. Fiedler of Morganton, her fiancé, Steven William Pennington, of Morganton, three sisters, Emma and husband James Rivenburg of Catskill, NY, Adelia and husband Sam Maida of Beacon Falls, CT, and Linda Wertman of Waterbury, CT, four brothers, Neil Reed of Catskill, NY, Arthur Wertman of Oxford, CT, Danny Wertman of Bridgeport, CT and Anthony Maida of Waterbury, CT and four grandchildren, Angel Aleman, Buddy Aleman, Vanessa Delacruz and German Delacruz Mendoza, Jr. A sister Sharon Rhine precedes her in death.
