Elizabeth Ann Black Arrington, 81 of Hollow Street in Startown, died Tuesday May 9, 2006 at Abernethy Laurels. She was a clerk in one of her family’s business, Black’s Drug Store and a homemaker. Born February 24, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Bonner and Johnsie Ann Fisher Black. She was married to the late Lee Roy Arrington. She is survived by a son and daughter-in law Mark and Melissa Arrington of Hickory, a sister and her husband, Peggy and Max Chandler of Kannapolis and two grandchildren, Zackery Arrington and Lauren Price. A sister, Jean Carl, preceded her in death. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Sweetwater Presbyterian Church, the Pastor David Dudley officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at 10:00 a.m. at the church.
