Elizabeth Ann Sutton, 60, of Hickory passed away Wednesday, February 19th, 2025 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. Born, June 16th, 1964 she was the daughter of the late James Ray Herman and Mary Dale Herman. Elizabeth was more than just a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother; she embodied the spirit of nurturing and support. Her life was a testament to the profound impact of placing others’ needs before her own, as she often prioritized the joy of her grandchildren over her own comforts, holding off on her bills just to ensure they experienced the magic of Christmas. She leaves behind a legacy in her wake of unwavering love and selflessness that will be cherished by all who had the privilege to know her.
She is survived by her son, Anthony Watson and his wife Tonya Watson; her grandchildren, Casey, Alethia, Celeste, and Dale; her great-grandchildren, Cyrus, Joaquin, and Nayeli; her brother in law, Tim Sutton; her sister in laws, Crystal Sutton, Carol Hamby, and Angie Coffey and her husband Michael Coffey; her mother in law, Linda Campbell; and her best friend, Renee White.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Dale "Red" Sutton; and her brothers, Roger Herman and Alan Herman.
