Elizabeth Anne Kirby Taylor, 44 of Belmont Avenue, Belmont died Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born November 8, 1967 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of James Randolph Kirby of Granite Falls and Donna Lea Andrews Gatwood of Hickory. Elizabeth was a member of Philadelphia Lutheran Church of Granite Falls. She co-owned Forest View Insurance and Clay Café in Gastonia. She was a 1986 graduate of St. Stephens and enjoyed reading and music. In addition to her parents; her step mother, Sandra Kirby of Granite Falls; step father, Michael Gatwood of Hickory; a son, James Michael Anthony Taylor of Belmont; three sisters, Jennifer Kirby Cary and husband Scott of Conover, Shannon Kirby Stamey and husband Keith of Hildebran and Megan Anaya-Lopez and husband Jose? of Hickory; a brother, Christopher Michael Gatwood and wife Vicki of Hickory; a step sister, Laura Gatwood of Hickory; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved dog ?Jack? survive her. The Memorial Service will be 11:00 am on Monday, September 17, 2012 at Philadelphia Lutheran Church in Granite Falls. Pastor Terrell Long will officiate. The family will receive friends 10-11:00, one hour prior at the church.
