Elnora Johnson Dietz, 83, of Hickory died Monday, August 21, 2023, peacefully in her home. Born January 1, 1940 she was the daughter of the late Woodrow Johnson and Maude .
She loved the people that she grew up with in the orphanage, as they became her family when she lost her biological family. She enjoyed working in the toddler room at the local daycare and spending time with her family.
Elnora is survived by her daughter, Emily Dietz and son Ronnie Dietz.
Her husband of 62 years, Darrell Dietz, daughter Elaine Dietz, two brothers, Ronnie and Dub, proceeded her in death.
No services are scheduled at this time.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
