Elpidio Lemus

Elpidio Lemus 65, of Newton passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family Saturday, August 17, 2024. Born in Mexico on June 21, 1959, he was the son of the late Ponsiano Lemus and Amalia Lemus.

Elpidio was adventurous and loved being on the road, anywhere but at home. He enjoyed all types of food, but especially his tortillas. Elpidio appreciated good food and delighted in spending time eating out with his loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his parents and loving wife of over 30 years, Yolanda Rodriguez.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Jaime, Ruby, Ivan, and Sergio Lemus. Grandchildren; Angel, Hazel, Yolanda, and Aurora Lemus.

Funeral service will be held Friday, August 23, 2024, 2:00PM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church located at 720 W 13th St Newton, NC 28658

The family will receive family and friends Friday, August 23, 2024, 3:30-4:30PM at Jenkins Funeral Home located at 4081 Startown Rd, Newton, NC 28658

Inurnment will take place Tuesday, August 27, 2024, 3:00PM at Jenkins Funeral Home Cemetery located at 4081 Startown Rd, Newton, NC 28658
