Emily Fleenor

Emily Layla Grace Fleenor, 4, of Lincolnton passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022, at 3:01 am, at home in her mommy’s arms surrounded by family and friends. Born November 14, 2017, she was the daughter of Kerry Elizabeth Fleenor and Paul Anthony Fleenor.

Emily will be best remembered for her joy. Her happiness was infectious and filled the room when she danced and sang her songs. She touched anyone who knew her. Jesus’s love was obvious. Despite being in and out of hospitals all her life, she kept an attitude of laughter and play no matter what environment she was in. Emily’s strength and courage taught us many lessons and we will treasure them forever. Emi and her brother Matthew were the best of friends, and they shared a love like no other. Each sibling shared a remarkable bond with her that will never be broken. Her sass, her smile that lit up the world even in the darkest of times, her love, and her precious personality we will hold on to. Emily will never be forgotten.

In addition to her parents, those left to cherish her memory are her three brothers Izak, Alex and Matthew all in the home: her older sisters Samantha and Gabrielle, and Brian all grown siblings. Her grandparents Dee Smith, Darrell and Greta Orcutt, Karl and Utta Raffelseiper. Emily’s God parents Tim and Robin Canipe, “Poohpah” Dale Rushing, and “Mimi” Brenda Hester.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life for Emily on February 26, 2022, held at Christ Church Mountain View campus at 1pm – 2416 Zion Church Rd, Hickory, NC 28602 followed by a receiving as you leave.
