Emma Carpenter

Emma Louise Helms Carpenter, 76, of Vale passed away Thursday, June 15th, 2023, at Carolina Caring. Born, May 18th, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Laura Helms. She loved traveling and seeing new places. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Kim Holden, Wanda Barnes, and Danielle Carpenter; four grandchildren, Jonathan Holden (Esther), Victoria Frye-Poulsen (Mitchell), Heather Smith, and Ashley Barnes; and eight great-grandchildren, Christopher Eli Holden, Aiden "AJ" Holden, Emily Holden, Aleron Frye-Poulsen, Excalibur Frye-Poulsen, Ammon Brown, Jaylen Franklin Fitch, and Prince Fitch.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold A. Carpenter, a grandchild, Christopher Holden and her siblings.

A graveside service will be held, 1PM Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Bethel Methodist Cemetery, located at 3090 Cansler Rd, Vale, NC 28168. A celebration of life will follow at 2PM in the fellowship hall of Macedonia Pentecostal Holiness Church, located at 4352 Macedonia Church Rd, Vale, NC 28168 with Pastor Tommy Scronce officiating the service.

Jenkins Funeral Home is not involved in the service at the church.
