Emma Mecimore

Emma Jean Mecimore 81 of Connelly Springs died Monday, December 14th, 2015 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born March 24th, 1934 she was the daughter of William Farr and Winona Phillips Roland. Two sons, Lester Williams of Icard and Charles Williams and wife Martha of Icard; a daughter, Rebecca Myers of Icard; six sisters, Lillie Mae Guge of Maryville, TN, June Ward of Marion, Grace Buchanan of Asheville, Louise Buchanan of Spruce Pine, Alma Kinsland of Clyde, NC, Jewel Hughes of Spruce Pine; a brother, Eddie Roland of Spruce Pine; four grandchildren, Samuel Gladden and wife Nicole, Audie Burleson and wife Barbara, Daniel Burleson and wife Bridget and Wendy Cline and husband Charlie; six great grandchildren, Jessica Watkins, Summer Cochran, Alexis Gladden, Taylor Sluder, Matthew Cline and Ledger Burleson and two great-great-grandchildren, Silas Watkins and Danielle Cochran and numerous nieces and nephews survive her. In addition to her parents, William Farr and Winona Roland, she was preceded in death by four brothers, twins, Ray and Gay Farr, Curtis Farr and Verlie Farr and a sister, Thelma Roland and her step father, Bill Roland. The funeral will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 16th, 2015 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Travis Watkins and Pastor Ron Leasure officiating.
