Eric Christopher

Eric Daniel Christopher, 40 of Catawba died Saturday, October 9, 2010. Born January 10, 1970 he was the son of the late James Daniel Christopher & his mother, Earline Gayree Robinson of Newton. Eric was self-employed as a brick mason for over 23 years. He loved life and was very proud of his children. His wife, Anne Whitt Christopher of the home; a daughter, Erika Christopher of the home; two sons, Andrew & Anthony Christopher of the home; a sister, Jennifer Stewart of Catawba; Father and mother in law, Bobby and Sherry Whitt of Hickory; brother’s in law, Charles Whitt & Jimmy Stewart; sister in law, Rebecca & Ed Rookard; Aunt Faye and Uncle Bill Eades; Uncle’s Jackie & Larry Christopher; five nieces, Katie, Jessica, Amanda, Chandler and Rachel; a nephew, Kristopher; two great-nephews and numerous cousins. A nephew, Joshua Potter; an Uncle, Ray Christopher; Maternal grand-parents, Talmadge & Betty Cook and Paternal grand-parents, Dorothy and Lee Christopher preceded him in death. The funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel in Newton. Pastor Jody York and Pastor Tommy Young will officiate. The family will receive friends 1:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
