Eugene Dunton

Eugene Edward Dunton 71 of Conover made the glorious trek to the kingdom of heaven Wednesday,January 30, 2013 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born November 8,1941 He was the son of the late Elmer Kenneth Dunton and Perces Mary. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His wife of 37 years, Marilys Dunton of the home; six daughters, Tammy Hammer and husband Robert of Erie, PA, Lisa Lewis and husband Tim of Ridgway, PA, Julie Aldred and husband Brett of Lenoir, Mary McGrath and husband Padraic of Pittsburgh, Pa, Victoria Rosado of Erie, PA, and Sabrina Klein of Newton; two sons, Kevin Dunton of Ontario, NY and Major E. Edward Dunton, II and wife Montana of San Antonio, TX; 23 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and his best friend, his beloved Pug, Butch survive him. Four brothers and three sisters and a son, Don Edwin Dunton preceded him in death. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 pm Sunday February 3, 2013 at Royal Chapel Church of God with Pastor David A. Smith officiating. The family will receive friends following the service Sunday February 3, 2013 at the church.
