Eugene Wray

Eugene Hall Wray 81 of Hickory passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021 in Caldwell County hospice from dementia. Born Monday, November 6th, 1939 he was the son of Loyd Franklin Wray and Auzie Delores Wray.
In addition to his wife of 58 years Margaret L. Wray, Eugene is survived by his daughter, Cindy and her husband Jeff of Vale, NC, a son Timothy A. Wray and wife Lori of Newton, NC. A granddaughter Jessica Howick and her husband Keith of San Antonio, TX. A grandson Zach of Hickory, NC. A brother Marshall Wray and his wife Nancy. And numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Loyd F. and Auzie Jones Wray, two brothers Charles Wray of Oklahoma, and Bill Wray of Claremont. And a sister Betty Hunt of Newton, NC.
Eugene was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. His occupation was being an electrician which he retired from with Catawba County School System maintenance department.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday April 1st, 2021 at Winklers Grove Baptist Church in Hickory.
