Eusebiu "Seby" Ivan

Eusebiu "Seby" Emil Ivan, 57, of Hickory passed Tuesday, March 12th, 2024 in his home. Born, July 24th, 1966 he was the son of the late Visarion Ivan and Maria Ivan. In the late 1980's he was Baptized in Atlanta, GA and later on became an active member in the Romanian Baptist Church of Hickory, NC. He went to mechanical trade school in Romania and later opened his own business, Seby's Foreign Car Service from 1987 to 1997. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for the past 15 years. He was Godly man and was passionate about doing missionary work such as handing out Bibles to people in Cuba, Dominican-Republic, North Carolina, New York, Washington State, Washington DC, California, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Tennessee, Illinois, and Missouri. He loved volunteering and made connections with everyone he met at gas stations, restaurants, subways, streets, stores, and trains. No matter the place he was in the most important mission for him was to ensure he told people about God's word. He was always willing to help and give what he could to help others.

He is survived by his wife Carmen Ivan; three daughters, Rachel Hunt (Johnathon), Abigail O'Shields (Michael), and Hannah Ivan; and his siblings, Elena Siladi, Miorita Cosa, Dorel Ivan, Ciprean Ivan, and Carmela Ciui.

In addition to his parents, Visarion Ivan and Maria Ivan he is preceded in death by his brother, Cornel Ivan.

The family will receive friends from 1-2PM, Saturday 16, 2024 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel. The Celebration of Life will be at 2PM. A burial will follow at Brookford Cemetery.
