Eva Whitener Hildebran 97, of Hickory passed away Feb 16, 2022 in her home after a brief illness.
She was born July 1, 1924 the daughter of Lillie Abernathy Whitener and Ellis Whitener. She was preceded in death by her husband William McCoy Hildebran and brothers Roy, Thirman, Craig and Millie Whitener. Sisters Edith Young, Velma Long, and Gladys Cline.
Those left to cherish her memory are her six children. Janice and Terry Smith, Bobby and Shelia Hildebran, Joyce and David Wilson, Susan and Richard Harwell, Barry and Gloria Hildebran, Jeffery and Terri Hildebran. She has 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The Rev Barry Keys will officiate in a service to celebrate her life 11:00am , Monday, February 21,2022 at Mountain Grove Baptist Church in Hickory where she was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Memorials may be made in her honor to Mountain Grove Baptist Church, 6156 Mountain Grove Rd, Hickory NC 28602. Jenkins funeral home is servicing the family.
