Florence Taylor

Florence Vinamae Jenkins Taylor, 82 of North College Ave. Newton, died Saturday September 15, 2007 at Hospice of Catawba Valley. Born February 17, 1825 in Colder Wood, TN she was the daughter of the late Henry Clay Jenkins and Myra Powell Jenkins. She is survived by two daughters, Hellen Doucet of Newton and Deborah Sue Roberts of Maryville, TN; two sons, Curtis W. Baker of Newton and James A. Baker and wife Diane of Newton; three brothers, Charles Jenkins of Pennsylvania, G.W. Jenkins and Kenneth Jenkins both of Maryville, TN; seven grandchildren and thirteen Great grandchildren. The funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday September 19, 2007 at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel in Maryvill, TN. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Ted Mace will officiate. In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
